What are stocks or shares of a public company. We use an analogy with co-ownership of a building. It describes the risks and opportunities of investing in shares.

Capsule 2: Understanding key terms related to stocks

Have you ever wondered what a “bull market” is, or what “Earnings per share” signifies. This capsule explains these terms and many more key stocks related terms in a clear and simple way.

Capsule 3: Understanding the stock market landscape

What different stock markets exist across the world? How many companies are traded in each one? We will touch on this in this short capsule, and share some relevant history about the stock market.

Capsule 4: Types of stocks and ETFs

We will explain stock revenue streams, as well as how to group stocks, either by market capitalization, industry or growth/value stocks. You will also learn what ETFs and ADRs are, and also be warned about meme stocks and their risks.

Capsule 5: How to decide which stock to invest in? Part I

You will learn how the fundamental analysis focuses on finding what the intrinsic value of a company is, what it’s really worth. To do this, you should understand how good the company is at what it does, and whether it delivers on its financial commitments. You will also learn about key metrics used in fundamental analysis, such as P/E Ratio.

This part II digs into a different type of analysis, the Technical Analysis. This is commonly associated with stock trading by looking at charts, trends and statistical analyses over these trends. We make it simple for you, covering some of the most common and useful metrics such as moving averages, MACD, RSI, and the concepts of support and resistance.

Course 1.2: What are Bonds?

Here we will talk about the overall concept of bonds (essentially IOUs), the different types of bond issuers (federal/state/city government bonds, corporate bonds) and how to assess the value of a bond.
